Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation
Make PPWR compliance feel effortless: fast to roll out and smart by design.
PACKAGING & PACKAGING WASTE REGULATION
We enable you to meet all compliance requirements of your packaging products.

Ensure compliance of your packaging and packaging waste.

From 12 August 2026, companies placing products on the EU market must ensure that their packaging is compliant with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
At GTS, we enable our customers to successfully achieve PPWR compliance, from the engagement of your value chain partners to regulatory alignment and the creation of the necessary documentation.
Establish a reliable and flexible compliance process across your packaging value chain.
Collect your packaging data methodically, verify its accuracy, and produce the necessary documentation to meet all PPWR requirements effectively.

The PPWR introduces fundamental changes in packaging management across the EU.
The initial requirements coming into application from 12 August 2026 focus on the substances of concern that can harm human health, the environment, or even the recyclability of the packaging.
In-scope companies are required to conduct a conformity assessment procedure and to provide an EU declaration of conformity upon request by authorities.

PPWR Compliance Main Challenges

Value Chain Complexity
Compliance relies on detailed, accurate data from multiple actors, making consistency and coordination extremely difficult.

Impact On Full Business
Companies must manage requirements across the entire packaging lifecycle, from design to procurement and disposal.

Declaration of Conformity
In-scope companies are legally liable for creating and updating the declaration of conformity, despite relying on scattered data.
Global Traceability provides the necessary infrastructure and expertise to deliver PPWR compliance from start to finish.
PPWR requires a structured, end-to-end approach. Our digital platform, RADIX Tree, delivers this by merging systematic data collection, compliance verification, and the generation of required documentation within one integrated solution.
